Refreshed for the next generation of consoles, this is a collection of three titles from the bestselling Metal Gear stealth series created by Hideo Kojima in collaboration with Konami. The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection includes the games Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (2001) and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (2004). The set is completed by the spin-off part of the Metal Gear Solid series: Peace Walker.

The sequel to the 2006’s third-person action game which was created as a response to the popularity of the Grand Theft Auto series. The action of Saints Row 2 takes place several years after the events of the original, when its protagonist, wishing to take revenge on the traitors that made him lose his current influence, finds himself in serious trouble. Mechanics-wise, Saints Row 2 does not introduce too many novelties and bases on the tried solutions of the original.

Racing 13 November 2007

The 11th installment in the popular racing game series developed by Electronic Arts. In contrast to the previous parts of the game, this title completely abandons the idea of illegal races and transfers the action to professional racing circuits. Players take part in a number of challenges divided into four race variations: Drag, Grip, Drift, and Speed Challenge, in the latter the driver who reaches top speed wins. Successive victories unlock new challenges and cars.

An action game based on a popular comic book series published by Top Cow. The Darkness video game was created by Starbreeze - a developer popular for The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. Jackie Estacado, the game's protagonist, is an assassin working for the mob when he discovers that an ancient power known as Darkness lives within him.

The seventh major installment of the Tomb Raider series. As the previous parts of the game were not received very well, a new studio – Crystal Dynamics, with Toby Gard, the creator of the original series, in its ranks – was entrusted with the game. Setting-wise, the title goes back to its roots, which means exploring ancient tombs and catacombs. During the gameplay you will visit a number of exotic locations, including Himalayas, Bolivia, Peru, Japan, Ghana, Malaysia, England, and Kazakhstan.

The first major expansion for Grand Theft Auto IV - a sandbox developed by Rockstar Games. In order to launch it, the base game is required. Similar to the core game, the story of the expansion is set in Liberty City. This time, the player assumes the role of Johnny Klebitz, the leader of a biker gang known as The Lost. Apart from having to deal with a competitive group known as Angels of Death, the protagonist has to deal with internal power struggle and the insane former boss of The Lost.

A sequel of the well-received action game based on the novel by Mario Puzo and its movie adaptation by Francis Ford Coppola. This time the game is set in the 1960s where you play as a rookie gangster, trying to earn the respect of the criminal underworld and get to the top of the mafia hierarchy. Compared to the original, The Godfather II features a much larger world, now spanning over three cities: New York, Havana and Miami.

After the slightly more realistic ProStreet, in which the players raced on professional racing circuits, the popular Need for Speed series returns to city streets with a traditional, arcade installment. Developed by a Canadian EA branch, Undercover puts a special emphasis on the storyline. As an undercover cop, the player has to infiltrate the ranks of a racing gang.

Arcade canceled

An adventure-platformer featuring puzzle elements. It was developed by the Finnish Frozenbyte studio, known for Shadowgrounds - a series of isometric shooters. The story is set in a colorful fantasy world, where the player gets to lead a team of three characters: a wizard, a knight and a thief. Using a mysterious device called Trine, they must save the kingdom from the undead. The gameplay mechanics were inspired by classic platformers.

The next instalment of the legendary Halo series developed by Bungie Software. Halo: Reach is a prequel to the entire series and tells the story of the titular planet Reach, which faces annihilation due to the invasion of the Covenant race.

The third entry in the series of sports games based on the license of Ultimate Fighting Championship and PRIDE organizations. The players can assume the role of one of more than 150 UFC and PRIDE fighters and participate in spectacular duels in octagons and on the ring.

Action 21 August 2012

The next installment in a cult online fist person shooter series, which originated in the early 2000's as a Half-Life modification. This game was created by Valve Corporation, who purchased the rights to the massively popular mod and later developed its commercial editions. The core gameplay is built upon competition between two teams of players: terrorists and counter-terrorists. Eliminating opponents is rewarded with cash, which can be spent on new gear and weapons.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is a sequel to the action game LEGO Batman: The Video Game released in 2008. The game was developed by Traveller’s Tales, who also created such product as LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Harry Potter. As the title suggests, the player becomes The Dark Knight, and together with other DC Comics super heroes (such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and others) has to save Gotham City from the villains.

Another action game with the popular Spider-Man in the lead role, developed by Beenox studio - authors of the last few installments of the series, developed by Activision. The script for the game was written by Peter David - co-creator of the Spider-Man 2099 comic series, and its plot focuses on time travel and its consequences.

RPG 09 March 2011

A very well-made hack-and-slash game, created by a small studio Runic Games, whose members contributed to such productions as Hellgate London, Mythos or the Diablo franchise. The story begins in the eponymous village of Torchlight, under which large deposits of a magical ore called ember have been discovered. However, the sudden mining boom resulted in another discovery, this time of a great evil lurking underground. This is where the protagonist steps in.

The second installment of a racing game series which continues the TOCA Race Driver franchise. It was developed by Codemasters Software, a British studio that specializes in the genre (and previously created the Colin Mc Rae Rally and F1 franchises, among others). The players assume the role of drivers participating in races on streets and speedways. The title lets us sit behind the wheel of many luxurious cars, such as Ford Mustang Mach-1, Chevrolet Camaro SS, or Koenigsegg Agrea R.

Silent Hill: Downpour is the eighth installment of the series of survival-horror action games released by Konami. The Slovak studio Vatra Games is responsible for the development of the title. Players play the role of Murphy Pendleton, a prisoner who manages to escape from the convoy and hide in the infamous town of Silent Hill. The game combines elements of action (fight against nightmarish monsters) with logical riddles.

A fearless warrior swears revenge on all enemies. The production is characterized by exaggerated and exaggerated combat scenes and varied gameplay.

A modern remake of the legendary shooter Halo: Combat Evolved, prepared to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the game's release on Xbox. The title, created in 2001 by the Bungie Software team, started one of the most popular FPS shooter series and set completely new directions in its genre, and the team of 343 Industries decided to face its legend. The plot of the game is a faithful recreation of the original and tells the story of humanity's conflict with the aggressive Covenant race.

The production was developed by the experienced Dimps studio, which already has in its portfolio several parts of the game, released for both home and handheld consoles.

Another installment in a popular series of racing games developed by Codemasters. In contrast to DiRT - the other flagship franchise of the British developer, GRID: Autosport continues the tradition established by the TOCA Touring Car Championship and TOCA Race Driver series, that is, racing on asphalt tracks. The player assumes the role of a professional driver who competes against other racers, but he also has to care about his team members and stick to sponsorship contracts.

A spectacular first-person shooter (FPS) set during the Second World War. The game was developed by Treyarch, Activision’s subsidiary. It’s three-chapter campaign spans across the years 1942-1945, being set on Southern Pacific and the Eastern front. We observe the events from the perspectives of three soldier (two Americans and one Russian), and we get to take part in such military operations as the defense of Stalingrad or the Battle of Okinawa.

Another attempt at a first-person action game set in the popular Might & Magic franchise. Dark Messiah of Might & Magic was created by then-unknown development team at Arcane Studios (who later became famous thanks to the Dishonored series) for Ubisoft, who bought the rights to the IP from its previous publisher, 3DO.

Condemned 2: Bloodshot is a continuation of the game presented in the perspective of the first person, described by the authors themselves as a dark, brutal psychological thriller. As in the previous installment, the production allows us to play the role of a detective exploring the mysteries of mysterious serial murders. The game was developed by Monolith Productions, a studio with, among others, the first part of Condemned, and also F.E.A.R.
